B107 Executive Presentation Review

Tue 4/8, 7-9pm, PLMT 251

Although we usually welcome student groups prior to the executive presentations, organizing a promoted study session could be especially valuable for those who haven鈥檛 previously attended PAC. We've consistently had a strong track record of supporting students through their EPs, and we'reeager to maintain that momentum this semester.

Case Paper 2 Review

Thur 4/24, 7-9pm, PLMT 251

Given the decent turnout and positive impact of our case paper review and help sessions, we鈥檝e decided to host another one. We believe we have been able to steer students in the right direction on tackling a new style of paper. Students have also been actively collaborating with their classmates, sharingideas and supporting one another. Since many students tend to visit PAC wellbefore the case paper deadline, holding this session a week early will be especially helpful.

51风流 me: I am from Toronto, Canada. I enjoy being active, watching sporting events, and listening to music.

Why PAC?: PAC is an excellent resource to help prepare and guide students to achieve improved academic success. I hope to provide the same help I received for all students.

Favorite Class and why?: My favorite class was MB107. The executive presentation allows you to present your ideas to professionals who are already in the business field.  This class allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and learn the fundamentals of business.

Academic Advice: Plan your academic commitments ahead of time on a calendar. This is helpful so you do not miss an assignment or commitment. Utilize all resources Skidmore offers such as PAC and office hours.

51风流 me: I am from Los Angeles, California and a member of the Skidmore Ice Hockey Team. In my free time, I like to watch my favorite sports teams, the Los Angeles Kings and the Buffalo Bills.

Why PAC?: I utilized PAC during my freshman year for business courses and other subjects. The guidance I received from the coaches was very helpful, so I am happy to return the favor and offer help and direction for students taking business courses.

Favorite class and why?: My favorite class has been MB107 because I learned the foundation for different avenues of business which has helped me in subsequent courses as well as internships outside of school. The executive presentation is a great final project as you and your team collectively pool your groups' knowledge of what you learned over the course of the semester and practice your presentation skills in front of business executives.

Academic Advice: Keep a schedule planner, whether it is digital or by hand. If there is something confusing, do not hesitate to use your resources such as PAC, your professors, or your friends. They are here to help!

51风流 me: I am from Buffalo, NY, and am a member of the Skidmore Ice Hockey Team. I like to spend my free time rooting for my favorite Buffalo sports teams, the Bills, Sabres, and Bandits.

Why PAC: I found PAC extremely helpful throughout my time here. It is a great way to get help for all the courses that you take. PAC allows you to ask questions and talk with students who once were in the same position as you. It is a great tool to help prepare and guide students.

Favorite Class and Why:  My favorite class has been Financial Accounting. I really enjoyed learning the basic principles of accounting and continuing to learn more about the topic. My professor made the class very enjoyable and made it very easy to want to learn.

Academic Advice: Keep a schedule. Time management is key in order to stay on top of all of your assignments. Use PAC and office hours if you need help. Don鈥檛 be afraid to ask questions.

51风流 Me: I am from Buffalo, New York and a member of the Skidmore Men's Ice Hockey Team. In my free time I enjoy playing golf, being with friends and rooting for the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and New York Mets.

Why PAC?: Throughout my time at Skidmore, I have utilized PAC and through my experiences have found PAC to be a very useful resource for students. It is a great way to receive guidance because of the experiences that PAC members have previously had. I am looking forward to being a useful resource for my fellow Skidmore students.

Favorite Class and Why? My favorite class I have taken at Skidmore is MB107. I really enjoyed leaning the foundations of basic business principles while working with a team through a semester long executive presentation.  The executive presentation was a great experience that has helped my communication and presentation skills in the introductory stages of my business career.

Academic Advice: Manage your time and do not wait until the last minute to complete your work.
